The direct service component of KCAPC is Haven Counseling Center. Haven Counseling Center is a family stress counseling center offering individual, family and group counseling services to families experiencing abusive or potentially abusive situations, parenting concerns, single parent issues, step family problems and other stressful family difficulties. Haven Counseling Center also offers parent education classes for voluntary as well as court referred individuals and a parent support group modeled after Parents Anonymous. There are many other classes offered periodically, throughout the year. Costs for services are minimal and are based on a sliding fee scale.

 

 

Located at 316 H Street, KSSP provides a wide range of services to families raising children of family and friends.

Haven provides supervision of family advocates for the Kern County Probation Department. Family Advocates are knowledgeable in community resources and assess, assist and provide information/referrals for services for at risk or high risk families basic needs.

 

Case management provides individuals with referrals to services and assistance with basic needs. Case managers also provide guidance in basic life skills. Discuss with Haven Counselors during or following intake.
