2006 Community Reception

To all who attended Haven Counseling Center 's annual Community Reception? This year we were fortunate enough to honor 15 wonderful individuals who contribute so much to improving the lives of families in our community. Helping families comes in so many different ways, from the case manager who assist families in finding adequate housing and food to the lawyer who advocates for children and families. Bakersfield is such a giving community that produces many giving and generous people who look forward to helping those in need. We at Haven Counseling Center feel that recognizing individuals who give so much of themselves to help others provide a positive environment for their children and families is important to our community.

Our community reception was held on April 26, 2006 at Haven Counseling Center . We had a ceremony hosted by Executive Director Karen Cooley who delivered wonderful presentations for each of our recipients. To those who attended and those we recognized a BIG THANK YOU! Keep up the good work in improving the lives of children and families in the community.
